A Cold One Among the Pack

"So does this make hiim third in comand?" tates heard a man ask. apparently another wolf had shown up.

and let the ridicules begin.

"Yes, I'm fine, I just need to sleep" She said with a smile. My blood count will return to normal in a few hours as long as I rest" She said and closed her eyes. The mark he left on her neck still visible

He nodded that he felt better- blushing when he heard gabes future images. He coudl picture it causing a few issues... normaly it wass "Your dog ate my shoes." but he coudl just imagen 'Your child bit my cat."

he chukled and looked down at Candra. "Will you be alright?" he asked. Oddly- now that he had bitten her he didnt feel as bad as when he wanted to. Actuly- he felt quite proud...

"Hmhm...it's alright" She said with a smile. "Do you...feel better now?" She asked looking at him. She'd recover in a few hours easy, thankfully. Gabe could be heard laughing in the other room taking our vampire puppies

Tates blinked and blushed hearing his father whine something about being too young for grandchildren. h looked down at candra and frownwed. "Sorry." he said, refering to having drank too much. he walked her to his bed and lay her down, puling the blanket up for her.

He glanced to the door half exspecting gabe to come in and start a fight.

Gabe looked at Tates as he lifted Candra. "Gabe...I wanted this" Candra slurred as she rested her head against Tates's chest. Gabe looked at her and then to him. It was hard to tell what Gabe was thinking. "Do me a favor...when others court her now...try not to kill them alright" Gabe said and chuckled walking out. "Hey doc, Your kid just marked Candra" Gabe laughed

Her blood stained his mouth red, his teeth and chin as well- though he had been careful to waste none of her blood.

He wiped his mouth, then licked his lips, picking her up gently.

He turned to bring her somwehre to lay her and froze, seeing gabe there.
Cought like a child with his hand in the cookie jar.

Candra winced feeling the brief pain. She felt herself fall but then caught and eased to the ground. Her hands gripped his back, a very light moan leaving her lips before she felt herself becoming tired. She looked up at him with hazed eyes when he pulled back.

Just then Gabe walked in and blinked. He didnt say a word...just stood there staring at them

His lips rested for a moment where they were, letting out a shaky sigh before opening his mouth wider.

The pain was brief but enough to make her knees give way as his fangs pirced her skin, biting down hard.
He cought her of coruse, slowly letting her down to the ground, going with her.
when he pulled back, he lickked her neck, closing the bite marks. Some how hed puled back- even though he haddnt wanted to... God how he didnt want to. But he had drank a little too much, accidently leaving the woman barly conchious.

She couldt help but shiver as his breath hit her skin, he was trying so hard to resist. Candra's expression was calm, she smiled lightly at him, she shivered again feeling his lips on her neck and closed her eyes

He frowned, resting his forhead on her neck. his pantign breaths tickled her chest. "..." he looked at her with red eyes- exaiming her expression closly beforerunning his lips over her neck again, feeling out the strongest sorce of her pulse.
The beating against ihs skin made his whole body tingle.

"It's alright" Candra said softly. In the blink of an eye he had pulled her up against him, she could feel his hand holding her close. She wrapped her arms around his waist sliding her hands up his back. "Just relax..." She said softly

"I...." he closed his mouth, trying to move his eyes form her neck to her face. they wouldnt listen. "You.... you arent food." he said, sounding almost helpless.

His eyes snapped up to her face before he twisted his hand free form hers, grabbing her elbow. he pulled her to him, his free hand planting itself on the small of her back, not giving her any choice of leaving.

His whole body felt like a muscle knot, stiff and ridgid. Human morals conflicting with vampiric instinct was making him freeze up.

"Why....did you stop" She panted lightly a bit flustered, unusual for her. She had enjoyed him pinning her to the wall, she hadn't felt a need or want to fight back another first

Her touch made him stop, his head turning to face her again.

His red eyes were locked on her neck where her hair now covered it.

Candra felt her body shiver to his responding hiss, a more gentle growl passing her lips now as if welcoming. She closed her eyes trying to move her hands, to embrace him closer when suddenly he let go. She looked at him and saw him turn to run but she reached out and grabbed his wrist. "Dont...dont go" She said

He hissed back at her growl- as if daring her to tight against him.

His lips were cool and smothe, traveling to the side of her neck just under her ear.

He paused there , suddenly releasing her.

Tates stared at her for a moment, looking all but horrified, before making a sudden break for the window.

Candra blinked hearing him hiss and then felt her back against the wall. She shivered feeling his tongue on her skin, a low growl left her throat but for the first time she didn't fight back, unlike how she would bite or fight back towards the other wolves she remained still under him

He finaly couldnt help it anymore.

He hissed involentarily- grabbing her hand. he moved so quickly- pinning her to the wall withone hand holding her wrists down above her head with the other one her left leg.

His breath tickled the right side of her neck for a moent before something smothe and wet ran up her collar bone.

"You acting like a child with a nervous disorder biting yourself like that, even if it does heal" She said walking up to him. She was off guard, a lot of it had to do because she was in heat her judgment was off. She wiped the little blood that had slid down his arm. It was strong but she kept a collected face

He frowned, removing his and from his mouth. she could wtch the small holes close up- a small line of blood trailing from one fang to his hand, before he used the back of his hand to wipe his mouth. "I'll be fine." he said.

He was simply trying the mind over matter aproche.... being constantly intrupted and watched though didnt help.... He kept his eyes closed- not looking at her. For one- he didnt want to see the look on her face.... For another- if he looked at her he felt as though he would be aiming.

Candra blinked when she caught sent of his blood. "What happened are you bleeding" She said and forced the door open and looked at where he had bitten himself. "What are you doing, that will just make you more thirsty" She said

"I'm fine." he said sounding almost as if he was in pain. "I punched the wall is all." he said.

He bit onto his hand and frowned, licking his own blood. it would distract him from the smell of hers- or the fact that his throught felt as dry as Ben Stine doing a stand up comedy.

Candra heard the bang in the house and ran back in. She ran up to his door. "Tates? Are you alright, what was that noise?" She asked. Sure, part of her was curious to be bitten but she knew it was dangerous in his state now too

Tates closed the door behind him and leaned on it frowning down athis hands. they were trembeling horribly- even when he made fists in an attempt tostop them. It was almost like withdrawl... His body told him he needed more- but he knew he didnt.... he was just used to the conctant feeding of the pills or synthetics that bindging was never an issue... if he was at all thirsty- well- bottoms up.... but he was afraid to try the fake blood again.... if it made him sick- he would be so thirsty again...

He swore and pounded the side of his fist on the wall, not too hard but enough to shake the house a bit. He would have to see about making the pill of a high concintration.... or something. He couldnt just drink real blood..... his human half would reject it- it wouldnt allow for it to be done.
