A Cold One Among the Pack

The doctor sighed. "now youve gone and done it... Ill have to go calm her down now." he sighed and got up.

"..." tates frowned. "Explain to her what exactly it is vampires do. Maybe shell be a bit more cautious near me."

"But you arent a full vampire." the doctor frowned. "I doubt she woudl heed my warning without seeing first hand... and a word to the wise." he put his bowl down. "dont let her see first hand."

Candra was back on Tates's lap her teeth on her neck, her k-nines had sharpened. "Careful Tates...the wolves in this pack are smarter than you think" She growled before moving and walked out of the room. He had threatened her position, unacceptable if he didn't plan on challenging her

"And tates- you should be more obediant." He said smiling at his son who gave him a look that should have killed him on the spot. "To Candra I mean. afterall- you havnt shown her any reason that you could be her superior now have you?"

"... If I did she would be dead." he said simply, using the spoon to slowly begin eating the soup.

"Thats not very polite." he frowned.

He looked up. "Im only stating the truth." he blinked.

Candra sat down on the chair in the room and took the bowl. "Thanks doc" Candra said with a smile and started to eat with a smile. "Hm, no problem, I'll call them when I'm done" She said

When she got off and took out his flask, taking a deep drink from it, closing his eyes.

*Im glad she thinks its so simple* he thought and sighed heavily, capping it.

He stayed steated for a few minutes before opening his eyes. he blinked at the bowl of soup being held infront of him.

"Itll make you feel better- I promice." his father smiled, handing it of when tates held his hands up to take the bowl.

He handded a second bowl to candra. "If you want to call Luke or Gabe, my cell phone is working- but the land lines out of comission for now." he smiled, going to get himself a bowl.

Tates heard water running and looked down at the soup. it was very thick. He wouldnt even ask how he made it...

Candra looked at him but didnt move. "You'll be alright" She said leaning her forehead against his. "I know you can control it" She said. She sat back and got off him. "You just need to learn to trust yourself more" She said and walked back to the doc

"..." He closed his eyes and opened them again. it was like his contacts werent even there. "Please- get off of me." he repeated calmly, his red eyes locked onto hers. He could handel blood, seeing it and touching it to an extent... however- a wounded woman straddeling him was hard to bear, even for a well diciplined pure blood.

He wasnt even a pure blood.

"No, I dont want to" She said and pushed him onto the couch. He had yet to dominate her so she was still acting like she dominated him. She straddled him and looked at him. "Whats wrong?" She asked, running her fingers through his hair

"please let me go..." he frowned. "I dont want to taste it. Is that such a sin?" he looked back at her.

His gray eyes looked much deeper that close up. He had told her of a wolf attack- yet earlier mentioned being able to fiht both vampires and wolves... yet he had no fangs or claws.

What sort of thing could he possibly do?

Candra watched Tates and a light growl left her throat before she followed him. "Hold it" She said and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Why wont you try it" She asked, her lips against his ear

He smiled brightly at her. "Im glad you like it." he said. "Its more than some people say about my cooking." he looekd at tates. "Come try it~."

"No." tates twitched. "It isnt even fully cooked yet."

"But its beef broth- Youll like it." the doctor insissted.

tates just gave him a flat stare, shrugged and went into the living room.

".... Such a cold boy." the doctor said. [lol Im picturing this T_T]

Candra walked up to the doctor and peered over his shoulder and sniffed at the soup. "Ahh, it smells so good. I swear doc your the only human who can cook in this town" Candra said with a smile

He watched her, confused by her actions. He wasnt used to such a playful person being around...

After a moment though he mannaged to will his legs to move, following after her.

He stoped and blinked, looking to the door across form the bathroom- his bedroom. From the other side he heard his cell phone ring. Frowning he began walking agin, the phones noise comming to an abrupt silence.

Candra smiled as he pulled away blushing. "Ah, your shy" She said with a smile but stepped up to him, nudging her nose against his neck. "You'll get used to the cold" She said before lightly nipping his neck and turned walking down the steps, looking back over her shoulder at him smiling

He blinked, blushing. "L-like I said, Im from miami." he studdered a bit, not really sure how to react.

He had to admit though- she was warm. It only made him blush all the more and he frowned, pulling away form her. "Sorry." he said. "You just.... have a very strong heart beat." he sounded a bit awkard.

Candra took had on the shirt and walked out running a hand through her slightly damp hair. "Hm, not really our body temp stays at about 106 degrees F." She said with a light smile. "Why, are you cold?" She asked stepping closer to him and wrapped her arms around his neck pressing her front against his

Tates was waiting to escort her downstairs when she came out. "Detrex is making soup." he informed her. He never did like soup... but he wouldnt complain. "Arent you cold after that shower?" he asked frowning.

He had his contacts in and his little silver bottle made a small lump under his shirt.

Finaly though he was wearing a shirt! The sweater from earlier- apparently now dry.

"Thank you" Candra called and shut the door and started to dry her hair

"I should- give me a moment and Ill go check." he called, excusing himself fomr tates to go fid her a shirt.

Tates stayed, shivering slightly. it was cold- even inside with the fire thanks to the power being out... in all honesty he was shocked the pipes haddnt frozen over.

Candra took a shower, making sure to be careful around her stitches. She got out drying herself off. She opened the door to the bathroom a bit. "Hey doc, you have a shirt of something I can put on for now?" she called

"It is odd- seeing as how i havnt seen in you years." the doctor smiled. "we were just destened to be alike!" he swooned.

"Get off it." tates twitched. 'I swear i was swapped at birth."

"Aww you guys are so cute, very much alike" She said as she got up and gave the doc a kiss on the cheek. She leaned over giving Tates a kiss on the cheek as well before she walked out of the room and into the bathroom

"Just dont scrub too hard."

Tates blinked looking at his father having said the same phrase in unison with eachother.

"Oh" Candra said trying to imagine living off that stuff and shuddered. "Ah, doc can I take a shower?" Candra asked looking over her shoulder at him. "Or is it too soon with these" She said uncovering her leg and turning, exposing her mid thigh, where there was stitching

The doctor laughed. "Its a mental thing candra." he said. "tates has always refused to drink any sort of real blood."

Tates looked down. he had his reasons.
