A Cold One Among the Pack

He frowned. "It wouldnt be hard to become one." he said, looking form her back to the ground.

He would need to have a serious sit down talk with the alpha... They had just accepted a monster into their pack and didnt even realise it.

"Hm, not really not for this pack anyway. Besides your not a full vampire right?" She asked. One thing about being in a pack not too many secrets though none of the wolves seemed disgusted or seemed to be mocking him for being what he was

"I thought you had to be a werewolf to be in a pack- just like you have to be a vampire to belong to a covenent." he soundes genunly confused.

"Hm, the Gaberiell just tested you right, He's accepted you into our pack" Kim said with a smile

"Uh... hi." he said, being sure to move his lips as little as possible.

He blinked, looking down- also a natural reaction when he didnt have his contacts in. "Welcome to the pack?" he repeated, unsure.

"Hey! Whats all the commotion guys!" A girl yelled running down the street. The wolves looked to her, Candra barked. "Ah, oh hey, welcome to the pack. I'm Kimberly" The girl said, while pushing her dark brown hair out of her face

He sat up, clearly confused and hoping someone would use human words to explainwhat had just happened. he hid his claws in the snow, blinking dumbly at them all.

He didnt notice the cold anymore, actuly finding the snow quite pleasent under him.

The wolf walked up and touched his muzzle against Tates's stomach before simply stepping back. He lifted his head back and let out a loud howl, followed by the rest of the pack, howl's in the distance even joined in. Candra jumped up in the air and barked happily, Tates had been accepted into the pack!

He watched but still hessitated.

He bit the inside of his cheek, inside of his mouth licking up hos own blood before slowly laying down, tense still.

It seemed just incase he was ready to sprint away.

The alpha instantly smelled the fear from the other. Gently the black wolf nudged his nose against Tates's shoulder. He walked over to Candra who was still on her back. The wolf put his muzzle against her belly, when Candra didn't move he stepped back so she could get up. A demonstration of what the alpha was going to do to him. Candra whined in reassurance

He wasnt so quick on picking up on that one. It wasnt untillhe saw the pup roll over that it clicked.

He tensed up, his red eyes suddenly snapping to the alpha wolf circeling him.

a suddenly strong and unmistakable scent of frear came off of him.

Being circled was tolerable.... giving his most volnerable spot up for grabs- that woudl take a little work.

He made no move to lay back, though he kept his head down.

The alpha seemed please at how quick he responded to Candra. The black wolf circled him, sniffing him now and then. Candra took Tates jacket sleeve again and rolled onto her back showing he should lay back, it was submitting but to be part of the pack he had to.

It only took a moment for tated to figure out what she was trying to tell him. he looked down.

They could all hear his heart beat now over the muted world of snow.

A vampire with a heart beat.

A human that drank blood?

A freak...

The massive wolf made its way up to Tates, Candra followed and tugged on Tates' jacket telling him to get down. She looked at him and looked down then at the alpha before looking down again, signifying him to look down when the alpha looked at him. The alpha was patient, he hadnt even growled yet

Tates watched the massive wolf before frowning.

The pup in his lap wagged its tail happily, licking under his chin.

Tates grimiced slightly, pet the pup once more before setting ihm down on the snow. He slowly got to his feet, rubbing his chest with a frown. luke and Candra knew he had a scar tere- the others didnt.

Just seeing a wolf that size again made the old wound throb though.

Candra watched as the pup walked back around her to Tates. She turned to pick him up again when all the wolves attention turned to a large black wolf with orange eyes. All tails lowered, some just staying where they were while Candra and Luke ran up, tails wagging and ears down licking at the wolf's muzzle. The black wolf's size was insane compared to the other, he was huge, obviously the Alpha. His eyes looked to Candra opening his jaws and pinning Candra down by her neck. Candra didn't yelp nor move, Luke had licked Candra's muzzle. The black wolf eyed Tates, was this the half breed? Candra got up prancing around the alpha playfully. She had been hurt that was the alphas way of saying he may play with them

The pup whined, its tail curling under itself as she moved it off of his newly dubbed chew toy.

It bounced around her, back to tates, sniffing him curilusly.

Tates smiled and pet it. "It woudl be kind of pointless for me to ask your name now wouldnt it?"

Candra barked a laugh taking the pup by the scruff of its fur and put it back on the ground, nudging it with her noes. Babies among the pack were easier as wolves, and so when birthing, the females fazed into their wolf forms and gave birth that way the pup grew quicker than a regular child, and by the time they were a year old in wolf form they could change into human looking about five years old. A few more wolves assembled, many gathered by the docs home since he was closer to the woods and didn't mind them around.

he tucked the canister into his shirt, trying to hide a sheepish grin... it was always hard explaining to any sort of security why he had a container of blood... it woudl be awkard too- he imagined- to explain to a pack of wolves that it was fake...

He blinked being pounced by a rather small wolf. Judging by how soft its fur was- it was a pup still. "Well hello." he blinked- earning himself one licked eyeball. Ew.

Candra was pinning the wolf who had tried to mount her, another wolf, a grey furred one had joined in. Candra saw Tates and ran back over to him, the one who had come up to him before was now jumping up sniffing at the canester and tilted his head

He got the hint and went inside. he went to his room, put on socks and his now mostly dry boots and a sweater out of his fathers dresser.

30 seconds later.

he grabbed his silver canister of 'blood' and put it around his neck, going back outside.

Luke barked when the wolf grabbed his pant leg and the wolf let go and back away. Luke walked up and nudged Tates towards the house. He needed to be dressed right to be outside, even if the sun was shining, it was still freezing.

When she nudged him, he sank into the snow some, quickly working his way out of it.

He haddnt put on a shirt, just the pants he slept in.

ONe wolf barked and grabbed his pant leg. He woudl ceatch a cold- or worse out there like that.

The wolf lowered his tail to Tates, before rolling over to show his belly. Wolves were smart they knew when a stronger predator came along. Candra barked and nudged Tates trying to say relax and jumped on him

None the less, tates tensed up slightly- like a spring ready to be let lose if need be.

He had no claws. no fnags... just red eyes- speed and a thirst.
